Andrey has given solo performances for Vladimir Spivakov’s international festival at the Moscow State Philharmonic Society, the International Performing Arts Center and the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory.
For the international festival of Boris Berezovsky, he played with an orchestra for an audience of 6000 people.
Andrej is a laureate of the Royal Concertgebouw competition (2019), International Vienna Music Competition in the category strings up to 19 years (2020) and Classic Young Masters (2021).
He plays a cello by Mathijs Heyligers, which was offered to him by the Dutch Musical Instruments Fund.

Andrej van Brakel
Andrej van Brakel (2005) started playing cello at the age of 4 and taking lessons with the teacher Lenian Benjamins. From 2016 to 2019 he studied at the Young Talent Academy Hellendaal/Codarts with Joachim Eijlander. Since September 2019 Andrej has been studying with the cellist Godfried Hoogeveen and at the Conservatory Maastricht (junior department, class Prof. Gabriël Schwabe).
